What we re-check, how often, and what to do when a figure here argues with the one at the till.

The prices

The catalog was last updated on August 28, 2026. Every price on this site comes from our own product data and is refreshed on a schedule rather than typed by hand. Prices move between updates, and the figure at the checkout is the one that counts: where the two disagree, the till wins.

A piece with no live offer is not shown at all. It leaves the shelf at the next update and comes back on its own when it is available again, so the count on a shelf page moves from one month to the next.

The figures on the cards

Sizes in inches and feet, pack counts, pair counts and materials are read out of our product data, never estimated. Where a figure is missing from a card, it is missing because we do not hold it.

The photographs

Every frame is looked at beside the piece it claims to show before it goes up. A frame with a promotional slogan printed into the pixels does not run, and neither does a frame of a different colourway from the one on the card.

The sources

Where a page here makes a claim that needs an outside authority, whether that is how often bathroom falls happen, what a traction measurement means, or what humidity does to a wood floor under a rug pad, the authority is named below with the date we read it.

Preventing Falls at Home: Room by RoomNational Institute on Aging, US National Institutes of Health. In the bathroom: nonskid mats, strips or carpet on every surface that can get wet, and grab bars inside and outside the tub and shower. Elsewhere: carpets fixed firmly so they cannot slip, no-slip strips on tile and wood, and loose throw rugs avoided.
Nonfatal Bathroom Injuries Among Persons Aged 15 Years and OverCenters for Disease Control and Prevention, MMWR. An estimated 234,094 bathroom injuries reached US emergency departments in a single year, and 81.1% of them were falls. Around two thirds happened in or around the tub or shower, and only 2.2% happened while getting in: the danger sits on the way out, on a wet surface.
Facts About FallsCenters for Disease Control and Prevention. More than one in four people aged 65 and over falls each year, which runs to about three million emergency department visits and a million hospital admissions. Throw rugs and clutter that can be tripped over are named among the home hazards behind them.
Bath Tubs (Adult): Voluntary StandardsUS Consumer Product Safety Commission. ASTM F462, the consumer safety specification for slip-resistant bathing facilities, was withdrawn in 2016. The commission states its purpose as working with ASTM to re-establish F462 or to develop a new voluntary standard for fall hazards in adult tubs and showers.
The B101 StandardsNational Floor Safety Institute. Traction is a measurement with published methods behind it: B101.1 for wet static coefficient of friction on hard floors, B101.3 for wet dynamic, B101.4 for the wet barefoot condition, B101.6 for entrance matting. They are test methods, not product certificates.
Problem PreventionNational Wood Flooring Association. Wood moves with the room it sits in. Moisture gain cups a board, moisture loss opens gaps and splits, and both are held down by keeping a house between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 30 to 50 percent relative humidity.
